Gearbox Aisin AW 03-70LE

The 4-speed automatic transmission Aisin AW 03-70LE was first shown in 1985 and was initially used only on rear-wheel drive Toyota cars as the A42DE. Since about 1995, this transmission has been installed on models of other car manufacturers.

Disadvantages of the Aisin AW 03-70LE gearbox

  • This is a simple and reliable automatic transmission, capable of going 300,000 km before a major overhaul.
  • These automatic transmissions are sent for repair when the oil pump bushing breaks and leaks appear.
  • Also, the caliper sealing rings fill the grooves in the clutch baskets.
  • And then you have to look for baskets at dismantlers, which is becoming more and more difficult.
  • And in case of failure, solenoids and sensors are usually helped by a simple flush.
